You have got to be kidding! How shallow can you get? In my experience, most men are way more complicated than than, and want a lot more depth in a relationship.

It's probably true that high up on the list is a woman who says "I'd love to have sex with you" whenever asked. But most men know women are people too, and may enjoy some convincing now and then!

I surely hope you're just kidding. I can accept that some women torture their men with obtuseness, but by no means all.

If you're serious here, then you have my sympathy for your sad experiences with women. Try looking for a "real" woman, i.e. one who says what she means and means what she says. Who say"no problem" because they love you enough not to sweat the small stuff.

We're out here ya know!

Margo --

A reread of your post wins you an immediate acquittal, and an apology!

That said, it always feels "righter" to me when she needs me to do things she can't (or won't) do, as she does other things for me. If you narrow it down to gender-based tasks or specialties, there's not much you can't ultimately do without me. I can think of only one thing I am uniquely equipped to do for you.

Allow me to demonstrate.

Mmmm ... thanks. Was it good for you too? Haha!

Don't get me wrong. I'd love to have someone around who'd like to, or be willing to, do all those gender specific tasks I'd prefer not to - like working on the engine. I'd trade a whole lot of gender specific tasks for that. Laundry anyone?

I just checked your profile page. Great photos - nice boat, big rocks!

My dear flysci (fly science as in florida citrus fruit fly research?), of course my tongue was firmly in my cheek in that post. I am an admirer of your posts for their sincerity, kindness and patience, particularly in explaining to the climate change deniers and science bashers just what science is really about. None of what I post should be taken personally unless I make it overtly so. Still, one shouldn't completely dismiss the power of our biological programming. I've seen it play out again and again in both men and women in determining their priorities.

btw, all of my relationships during my adult life have been with well educated feminist women. I am well aware that the brain is the primary sex organ. The woman I would choose given a wide range of choices would be among the smartest. But at my age I have no such choice and have reached the age where I am not biologically compelled to search as I certainly was when younger. Peace.
