is it true that ones pet is but a reflection of it's owner? Curious that.

critters seem to reflect the atitudes of owners, but i dont know -- this one was perfect from day one with me--i stuffed him at 5 weeks of age into my shirt and drove around town taking a friend to doctors offices and tests for 8 hours--then let him out in the boat and he has been boatkat since then--i think he was relieved to get out of the shirt!! he was tiny..i did notice he seems more like a dog in attitude than cat--he plays catch, fetch, sits up for treats and will stand up for them...comes to name and whistle( i use a certain tune for him) --very un-catly.....i think the human who controls the critter is the key--- training is a special thing with critters-they like having a job. bubby has his place as my family and he knows it--protection of mom, the feed person, as well as protect home. he is polite about his requests--wow--that is a miracle for a cat----he is good....understanding the culture of the critter is important, kinda like with people.

I guess I have to confess I too have a cat. A great big huggy bear of a cat. He only scratches on the special cardboard scratchy thingey I got him. His only vice, and not his fault, is he's long haired and leaves it all over. I have several lint pickers to keep after it all!

I used to have a dog but he got old and died. I miss him. Little guy, but stuck to me like glue, good watcher, very well trained. Someday I'll think about getting another.

I used to have a catt, but then I discovered a potent small molecule suppresses neurodegeneration if I don't have one.

Zee we seem to have a lot in common, as I feel the same way about bf as you do gf! Imagine that! So, let me see if I understand all this: You got a cat and a hubby 4+ years ago, but now only have the cat. So I would surmise you dumped the hubby in favor of the cat? Or the hubby ran off and dumped you with the cat? Or perhaps the cat ran the hubby off as it's very territorial and didn't like to share? Or well....lots of possibilities here.

When I get down to San Diego I'm going to be sure to check under all the bridges I see as I suspect you'd be fun knowing. If I end up headed South instead of North, and that's anyone's guess at this juncture.

Regards,

Thomas
