flysci - you will be alright. Just knoe secret. Monkey knows:

(everyone is ineptitude)

just matter whether they know it or not. or maybe others recognize.

many sailors come and go...sail here and sail there. come to forum then leave byebye sailing. some sail around the world. think tehy know...but they make mistakes LOTS of mistakes MANY MANY mistakes. AWEFIL MISTAKES!! ROOKIE MISTAKES. LOTS OF MISTAKES! And they are supposed EXPERTS. But moneky has a list. mistakes they made. some loose boats. some loose boats 3-4 times! considered EXPERTS. but still go and make mistakes AGAIN! why this? why this tomfoolery? hmmm

(monkey thinks they are experts because otehrs only call dem that. they call dem that because they dont go so they dont know. They are experts because they are also fun at parties.)

repairs are repairs. there are tools. there are parts. two things. monkey knows. whats so hard? breayk a tool. buy or fix new tool. break a part. but or fix new part. two things. simple!!! Monkey has two paws. part in one. tool in other. simeple YAY!

so, flysci, you will be alright. learn some. eat some. have a bannana. look for flys and listen to their songs. enjoy new problems. say to problem "Hello problem. Nice to see you today. My name is flysci. How can i help you? Would you liek a bannana?"

Flysci will learn to fix problems and make mistakes too. Mistakes cannot be avoided. ONly learning can be welcomed. And thats ok...

margo--i have to pure sail to mazatlan from here--i hope that doesnt scare off what crew i have so far found-- i was estimated too high for the repairs and the yard corporate guy wouldnt consider thinking outside box, as oneneeds to do with formosa yachts. go figger...... ggrr... ye can do it--- we all can --and will......see ye in mexico somewhere.... mebbe mazatlan--i may be there a while-- or sea of cortez, as i get this saga unfolded and nonesense repaired. or rubber plugs and a repair right here--is kinda what someone in my leaky teaky group spozed to have done-- so i will pump them for info.

As long as you don't have to pump your boat! Seriously, good luck on the boat repairs - so frustrating to be delayed when you want to jut GO. If the new crew survives helping you repair, then you know you've got a keeper.

If you do go offshore non-stop to Mazatlan you'll miss a lot of good stuff along the way, but it is for sure the way to get to that warm air and water quickly. I will not likely get farther north than Honduras or there abouts before hurricane season kicks in, there will be plenty of time for us to meet up in the land of Sizzlin' HOT!

May we both have bed mates by then!

praying to the gods of speed bumps that they are for a definite reason... have 3 alternative plans, and am hoping to see another soul with us-- i have a diver and i need a brave soul with death wish to effect thisdeed/plan... lol i wont kill unless boat really sinks-- diver had a plan with rubber plugs up her oops and then do the work and then remove and then ..lol.. .i can handle that and i think we can cover that with already have funds.. yeehaaaw-- life really is good-- ye gotta keep the complexities to a minimum. this is not a 40 hour/8000 dollar repair. not by any stretch. lol
hay margo--i been to baja norte and sur while on back-- both sides.... loved it-- was cheaper then --we did it on land for 300 dollars per month including has for camper.... .
it is all gonna be fine-- margo-- see ye in maz-- i will be the ketch on the dock with the only schooner in mazatlan.. patricia belle is her name. but i have to leave here first....i like flexibility, so i will have this job done prior to leaving here.

I don't know how to sail yet,but I am a fast learner.I would like to do the crew part,so that I can learn faster.I am a former millwright/fabricator/rigger/welder so I can fix things.I haven't really thought about the "mate" part, but you never know.I would like to meet someone though.

Mayday averted?

Boatman and Zee,

I can't believe that I just today found the Mayday ... Paypal thread! I missed the whole thing while I was sailing down here. I still haven't finished reading the whole thing, but teh generosity of CFers is truly inspiring!

Hi Ocean Girl,
Brilliant idea, I've been looking for years for someone to share the adventure, not been successful. I am 63 ,fit, own hair and teeth, no medication, living aboard 33ft carter, currently sailing solo, would love to share this life with someone special.
Can supply photos if required.
Regards Ward

Singles Sailors Seeking Soul Mates is a group for those who are looking for a long term relationship, life partner, or a soul mate to share their sailing/boating adventures. Whether it's chugging up the Mississippi in a beautiful trawler, sailing around the bay or around the world, it's living the dream and having someone to share it with. If you donít have that mate, Single Sailors Seeking Soul Mates is a great place to start.

To be a part of this group:
Simply write a short bio and summary of what you are looking for in a mate. Be sure to end with an invite to your profile where you can expand further if you like. This will be posted for all to view within the Cruising Forum community. This Single Sailors Seeking Soul Mates Group will be strictly a place to post single sailor biographies. Any social commentaries will need to be posted in the Cruisers Forum.

If a more party-like atmosphere, with casual dating, is your speed Ė good on you. But that is not why this group was created.

Most of you all know that my Mom met my Step Dad in a simular manner, ( she was a Cruising World Magazine Bride), ya just never know! I'm still tweeking the site out, just wanted to let you all know about it, hope to see you single sailors on there,
Cheers,
Erika

happy valentines day.

finding special souls on the water isnt working. i give up. if i sail over someone, cry out loud so i will stop. until then, eh.
met a guy on pof-- he said we are identical twins--yeah i laughed. now he wont let me go onward-- is blustery and pompous---blustery about his 500 tonners and all that--i guess isnt until they get to unlimited masters that they shut up about the accomplishments?????? what is it with men?? if they think they know more than a female, they lord it over and try to scare the gal off the trip. i really dont understand.

why do men think women are toys?? why toy with us forever and then let us go? wtf?? kinda alike catch and release.... kiss your katch. i would rather kiss my ketch that that. i dont like being fished so obviously. yes the man is an expert fisher...lol.... of fishes.... no wonder he hasnt a lady..... so , then, if i am so very very, then why dont i have a man?? LOL...... might be i AM too PICKY???? doubt it. I WAS ALWAYS TOLD NEVER SELL YOURSELF SHORT.
so where is selling self short. at what point is that? when there are no males to choose from as they all are interested in deck fluff, then , where is it considered selling self short.
i think pomposity is a negative.
what are your turn off/negativities!???

hi new kid---lol yer one upon me---1948.LOL.... welcome to sssm..
where are you located and what does your boat look like?? pix of you might work also-- but we have to see your boat.. not all of us are female, ye know, and porn has a boat in it , centered fair and square, preferably of wood and a gaff rigged schooner. we do grant leeway on that , however.
LOL.. i am not the judge, btw, nor the rule maker. just another smartypants female sailor.
welcome.
