Man Bashing???

I though this was going to be a nice place to meet some Like-Like women. Maybe I need to look else ware...
I was thinking..."to myself" I like the cut of Zee's sails... You know, worldly, independent, courageous, and yet willing to cross the line to help a fellow friend. I like that in a women...
I heard God mentioned once, but then apologized for. We all need God in our lives, I know he has saved this sailor sailing sin a time of 2.
Here's to you God.

yeah-- listen good, folks-- pets leave.. partners stay--NOT.
my sail partner has pulled out of this venture-- he found a girlfriend,i gather. i am happy for him. i now am shorthanding to mazatlan , so i guess i am gonna have to stop before guadalupe island.
which shows me a pet will stay and protect ye until his death and a man will up and quit without provocation. go figger.
some kind of partnership.

not bashing-- just stating fact, as they present to me.

I know EXACTLY what you mean.

Standing there naked on the deck of my trimaran, I had nowhere to hide the 9mm while I was extolling the nuanced flavors of Hunts over Heinz. It was a religous experience, like so many things connected with tequila.

Take a number and get in line.

Just good netiquette there, as this is not the place. It's one of those topics that quickly becomes divisive and distracts from common purpose. Some wedding forums ban "cash bar vs open bar" topics, many parenting boards forbid anything about circumcision.

At CF, nobody's arguing against deities or worldviews of any ilk -- they even accept non-sailors here! If one guy's allowed to talk about what Jesus has done in his life, then he also has to listen to what Allah, Aurvandil, Auseklis, Airmed, Atja, Achamán, Adi Purush or Adonai has done in other posters' lives, yet others' views that they're all the same thing, and then the occasional oddball's story of deconversion from a belief system that's someone else's life foundation.

Wax? WAX?! Wax what? I'll wax when you do. It hurts and it's unnecessary.

I'm sure you can find those women on Miami beach.

I move that we ban discussion of circumcision on the SSSSM forum. All in favor? Thought so.

Here's to you God.
i have always stood behind and beside my friends and in front when necessary to help and protect them--like a cat in many ways. is why this loss of a sailing partner is hitting so hard. he was spozed to be a friend.

my cat is more loyal to me than has been any man i have met to this day.

i now need another southbound crew member.
prefer jack of all trades--able to fix diesel when needed and fabricate when necessary. my former sail partner was a good fixer. i need that skill replaced.

sailing single

i had a random thought just now. is sailing single, cruising etc, lonely? Or do single sailors find plenty of romance at port? Is it dependant on the destination? Is it common to find companions for short durations, or trips to other places and drop them off?

I have traveled plenty, but not by boat. Being single never seemed to be an issue, wondering if it is the same sailing.

Obviously this does not count rented companionship.

sailing with the wrong partner can be lonely. sailing solo can be lonely.
\ if you are in the habit of picking up your social life wherever you fallout, then is still the same as always in your life, just a different setting.
is dependent on the individual.
some do the pick up and drop off thing-- i would prefer to use that method for trusted crew.
