I just deleted a few political and religious postings.

This is an outstanding thread but unfortunately we don't do religion and politics on CF.

Thanks for understanding, folks.

Now back to soulmate searching...

I actually thought that the point of mine and another response was that “it” was not “religious” or in any other way discriminatory. Instead “it” is just a good universal tenant to live life by that has been subsequently adopted by many unmentionables?

I don’t want to repeat “it”, but for example, wish others a safe passage and you might just get the same yourself, or help another fixing their boat knowing someone will probably do the same for you in the future. It’s really just basic emotional intelligence. Are we allowed to do emotional intelligence on Cruisers Forum? Honestly, it is something I find essential in a relationship.

I don’t “do” religion or politics for that matter. Like someone else said it is all about tolerance. Unfortunately you find very little of the same in this hideously politically correct society. Exactly why I should ready the boat for sail?

Could any open-minded sailor ladies out there who enjoy intellectual conversation please contact me in private – I would love to meet you!

Slacking

So I wasn't around to babysit and a few of you got your hands slapped? What's up with that? How much further can you get from love than by discussing politics? I believe that's on list of dating no-nos as well as it is here. Erika must be disappointed in me

I have noticed here on this thread and on CF in general that the people have very good souls, are tolerant because of their experiences and travels. It makes for a smaller and more caring world.

So onward. It hasn't slipped my attention the avoidance of Margo's question. The one about compromise and trying on a potential partner's world just for a look see. It's gotta start somewhere right? Something has got to give in your life. Jump little frogs, jump! Take a damn chance. If you think you've already had the worst, and you are here as a survivor, how bad can a risk be? Your here, kicking and alive still. Right? They aren't going to take your birthday away. You've learned to stay away from those people right? Trust yourself, have a little faith and trust going in with others and let it build from there.

One should be able to discuss religion and politics here, it is a measure of compatibility. I am really glad that my Wife and I both like the same brand of Ketchup, if we didn't then there would have been some serious problems with our relationship. If you think people here are tolerant to differing view points, just try talking about Cat versus Mono, or whether or not one should have a gun on board one's vessel, or if they should sail nude.

Thumbs up compatability

It's true that it's important for compatibility. But this thread is probably not the place for it. That's the kind of thing that belongs in a personal profile posting on the SSSSM forum, in each singles' self description. If religion or politics or height or ketchup brand are important to you in a mate, let other singles who are browsing know.

We're having fun here, but it's not where the actual relationships develop. That's in private messages where any value issues can and should be discussed. Oh, and jokes made, and compliments given, and risks taken too.

So what's wrong with Old Spice anyway? I like it! No questions, guns and mono's, machine guns better than pistols! LOL

So you've lost your hair little monkey! That's ok, chicks like bald headed men. I'm told if you can get one to rub lard on the bald spaces it will help. Really!

Thought you'd want to know.

Regards,

Thomas

PS - Lucky Tiger was good stuff....do they still make it?
