Re: Sea Mile to Number of Posts Ratio
It wasn't Madonna that said that. Lady Gaga if memory serves.

Since you have made that accusation before to me in other threads it would be no secret to many that you are once again referring to me. First I don't tell lies. Second I made a mistake in answering a negative statement about myself by defending myself and listing some of my accomplishments. All if which are true. But I shouldn't have listed them in an emotional response to being verbally attacked.
Can you answer one question. What is your problem?

Re: Sea Mile to Number of Posts Ratio
I never seem to build up many sea miles. Once I have a few thousand I usually redeem them for some new carry-on luggage or a Home Depot gift card.

I didn't start this thread and only replied to it because Mr. Rongvald saw fit to call me a liar here the same as he did on his Great Lakes thread.
The reason I mentioned the amount of miles I have sailed in that thread wasn't to brag, it was to demonstrate that I was qualified through personal experience sailing on the Great Lakes to say that attempting to compare the ferocity of the Great Lakes to the ocean by showing pictures of slop off the breakwater in the middle of winter was just plain silly. Other have stated publicly they agree.
My observation that Mr. Rongvald routinely posts walls-of-text is merely that, an observation. Does anyone here disagree?

I just received my million air mile award from United. Does that count for anything?

You can't possibly be serious. You must have left out a whole truckload of smilies on that one!
Any directives on what each sexual persuasion can post? Can Gs talk about Ls? Can Ts talk about Qs? Can Qs talk about Bs? Straight people just need to shut the **** up? Is that how that works?
And here I thought we were all supposed to freely discuss ideas and share info...
so many new rules to learn. I just recently heard about "micro aggressions." Hell, I was very tempted to use a mega aggression at the time. Imagine what launching nukes would be called. Ultra aggression?

Re: Sea Mile to Number of Posts Ratio
The silly thing about this thread is that on CF the credibility of someone with a lot of miles is only accepted if their opinion matches the group think, no matter if they are right or wrong. Its kind of the same as how a newbie can attain expert status in such a short time.

Re: Sea Mile to Number of Posts Ratio
That particular song is pretty widely recognized as an anthem for gay rights. If you are a homophobe and have been humming the tune, jokes on you.
If you think feeling marginalized on a sailing forum because of how many miles you have sailed equals being discriminated in housing opportunities, employment, or what bathroom you can use because of your sexuality or gender identity than I am not so sure you know what discrimination is.

By the way. Getting Madonna mixed up with Lady Gaga. What does that say about me? Perhaps I'm just confused.

humans are humans it is only those who practice differentiation(with a bias) who care at all what is what. think about that a moment.
