Re: SHTF/WROL Situation

**** = Sh** Hit The Fan

WROL = Without the Rule of Law

In otherwords, the end of the world, choas, and the collapse of society. I thought we just had one of these threads a while back. In anycase, it doesn't sound like fun.

Re: SHTF/WROL Situation

Why Maryland, DOJ?

To all those who don't know what SHTF/WROL is...**** Hits The Fan/Without Rule of Law...it's a situation where life as we know it today ceases to exist because of a manmade or natural disaster. Prepping for this type of situation is a big topic in the landlubber community and I have done some research and have yet to find the cruising community discussing it. Seems to me that since cruisers need to be self sufficient, this would be an interesting to discuss.

get a catamaran, apparently they sail faster and point as high as a mono, though probably useless when loaded with all the end of the world gear.......plus cant carry much fuel or water.....

lets work on that.
Step one must have a catamaran
Step two - a bible
Step three - plenty of ammo for all the guns

You forgot a place to run off to that is out of harms way. Seems to me if there is a crisis that topples the governments and economies of the world then where will you go to get out of the way of it.
Middle of the pacific sailing in circles? I'm thinking a remote island somewhere. Oooops there aren't any they're all gone.

Get a big anchor, a bigger gun and become a pirate? Have I missed anything?
