Re: Royal Wedding a British Tsunami

I think for the next few days she's allowed to do pretty much anything she likes. No-one would dare to comment or criticise (except for few here).

I think Prince Harry may have taken precedence from the attention he was giving, and his manouvring to be in the right place at the right time.
A Savoir you might be, but you'll have to be content to stay a frog for now.

Re: Royal Wedding a British Tsunami

BUT the couple are doing an extensive tour of Canada later this summer. You'll just need to pop up at the right time and steal that kiss. She does have luscious lips.

I'm in China right now and I wasn't going to bother watching it. I'm so glad that I did... It was a wonderful occasion, and it was truly glorious to see the support from people of all ages and all walks of life. Best wishes for a long and loving life to William and Catherine.

I have to marvel at how some Americans just dont 'get' how we do things in Britain.

Loving the Monarchy has nothing to do with republicanism or socialism, just like paying into a national health service has nothing to do with communism.

Our Queen and the royal institution earn their keep by way of not only being a stable figure head but attracting much needed trade and tourism to the UK

Nah, when you've been a frog as long as me you learn to handle rejection and move on. While Harry is otherwise engaged I might just hop on over to Chelsy Davy and turn on the charm. She won't stand a chance !

Harry's loss = frog heaven

The joke’s on me!
You’d think that one who flouts the rules of capitalization, as do I, wouldn’t be so easily fooled by the improper capitalization of the republican point of view (as opposed to Republican party).

You're right of course Anjou. I don't understand the adulation you Brits have for the Royal family, nor why my wife and mother inlaw are glued to the TV this morning. At least with all the terrible things that get all the media attention this is a pleasant diversion. Sure beats having the media swamp us with the Hollywood morons weddings and the latest Kardashians and Charlie Sheens antics.

He was rightfully mine. But never mind, this Kate (but you can call me Katherine, it's more respectful) is gonna give up with grace and go commiserate in style at the British Embassy - I hear they're skint and trying to make money on the bar. Sure I can help there....

What a beautiful, natural and simple ceremony - well done them!

All SaltyMonkey can say to his fans in general is:

"Never start your sailing journey on a Friday"

And to call a point to us yanks:

Boycott the Royal Wedding

Re: Royal Wedding a British Tsunami

Well, on the bright side, I am sure it's good for business.

Is the royal family good for the British economy or a drain on it?

...although UK has turned into an aristocratic theme park.

Ps:

"Say honey, if i marry you can i drive around in an auston martin pleeeezzeee?"

"ok, dear, but you're not allow to take it off the property"

Never mind dear, there'll be plenty of bachelors there too.
