In the days to come there will be those who know how to survive on little or nothing and those who wish they did. Give me a worthy vessel and a crew with skills in sailing and surviving at sub poverty level income and we will live like royalty, while royalty learns to live and die as paupers.

He's actually quite a famous artist. I think we had some posts on this a while back in the Nautical Oddities thread.

Over the years I have developed a slightly advanced pick-and-peck system of typing. When I am in good form, I can type out several words per minute.

Yes. That was pointed out many weeks ago when the photo came up in the forum the first time.

So calling it a "ridiculous boat" is like looking at a painting and saying "what a terrible photograph".

I would not call a painting a photograph. I am entitled to my opinion the same as you and stand by my opinion that it is ridiculous and the owner or artist must be seeking attention and I am sure he gets plenty of it. I do see the humor in it. Sorry I missed this when it was first posted, perhaps I should have done a search first, whatever.

One of the things about internet exchanges that I don't like is that tone of voice and facial expressions that we use in communicating don't get a chance to come into play as we try to express ourselves.

Please let me assure you that no offense intended, and if words were inappropriatly chosen, then I apologize.

However, since the artist is in the business of attracting attention, and since his intent was to take a boat and make it into a thing of art, that makes it....not a boat. Which takes it out of the realm of opinion and into perspective. I'm sorry that my analogy of painting/photo offended you. I stand by it as an illustration of the point I hoped to make.

In my opinion, your Morgan is a beautiful boat/work of art. May she have that luster for many years to come. You have a right to be proud of her. Sincerely.

My only question is "why would you bother to put in the time, money and sweat to make something as ridiculous as that"?

Sometimes I think the challenge is finding things you can't say that about ...

It's an art thing. That is why people all over the world make sculptures etc of anything.
