Just an idea I would like to share in a small community of rational folks, and this group fits that description. (All right, stop laughing)
Is anyone other than me getting a bit tired of religious extremists trying to force their agenda on us like what just happened in Paris?
What I propose is governments worldwide stop giving any religion the blank check of being tax exempt. For funds any church, mosque, LDS, etc. takes in that are used for charitable deeds, those funds are still tax exempt. All other funds used to promote and spread their particular fairy tales are taxed at the going rate.
We also remove any indication that our government
sanctions any religion, so no more "In God We Trust" on our currency or any reference to god for any oath.
We live in a time that all religions are in a decline, probably because science has explained much about the world we live in so the masses have less need to assign a god to something foreign to them. Or just maybe there are more atheists now because of the actions of radical religious extremists.
for thought, any takers on this concept
