I raced some E scows when I was a kid. Something like 300 sq ft main plus jib and a 500 sq ft spinnaker on a boat that displaces a thousand pounds. Once they heel they have a wetted surface with a hull to beam ratio that is very slim.

Fun but on inland lakes you can't go far without having to tack or jibe.

Variations on the masthead knot. Might come in handy some day, like if you need to jury rig. Will allow you to attach shrouds to any spar.
