Thanks TexSail, and congrats to you as well. You're much further along in the process than we are, that's for sure.

Sounds great to me. But apparently there's this thing called "maternal guilt" that prevents mothers from acting rationally.

After having survived 14 years of Catholic schools I learned that you need to have guilt reflector. Ingenious little device where you take the guilt trip that is aimed at you and reflect it a) to someone else or with the more expensive model b) back at the person who has aimed a guilt reflector at you.

Favorite saying to head off an attack

"Pack your bags we're going on a guilt trip!" Said in the right tone everyone laughs and the trip is postponed.

Wow! Linda does the exact same thing to me on this account. Late-nite, rum-infused, misspelled tirades and rants against diesel engines and alternators, mostly.

A house is a VERY poorly built boat! Great minds think alike and apparently have similar budgets. Our son is in his first year at UConn. As soon as we feel he's ready for the transition, we're movin' too! I do love the name ABACOA though...sounds really romantic...

Hey! Hey! Hey! This is my account. I was the original joiner. He needs to get his own account and all the drunken posts are his! Anyways, I have recently realized the more I work the more I pay and I have quit my second and third job.

Congrats on your son being admitted to UConn!!! Go Huskies! I'm with you on the house thing. They don't float for $%#@! They do sail about as fast as I do, though.

He considered Florida Agricultural College, but Hogtown just had too many tractors running around so he opted for the better education.

And as the song goes, "I'd hate-to be-a Florida Gator."

But some of my best friends are gayturds!

I'm in a mixed marriage. My wife is a Gator (and a PE Teacher - a football NUT), and I'm a 'Nole.

BTW, both of our daughters recently graduated from Texas Tech!

Congratulations to your family! Raising a son to go to engineering school is an accomplishment to be well proud of.

When he graduates, please send him up to Brookhaven. We can't find american engineers anywhere.
