Hello everybody,
I love the idea of sailing the sea. I also love the idea of being completely self sufficient. I have a friend who is a talented engineer. He built a generator with no moving parts including only coils and magnets. This thing was no bigger than a brick and literally powered a 500 watt load when powered with an input of a few watts (9 volt battery). I watched this guy use it for a week to power some appliances on his boat. He was telling me the other day about plans he had to scale it up and power a Dehler 38 sailboat completely!

Have any of you ever heard of anything like this? If you had a device like that would you feel comfortable using it exclusively to power appliances on your boat when you are out at sea?

Here's an idea. Start with that 9V battery to power a 500W unit. Take the output of the 500W unit to power a 5000W unit. Then take that output to power a 50,000W unit. Stack up enough of them in a row and you can power the entire world.

There, I just solved the energy crisis, global warming and the economy in 60 seconds.

Tell your friend that I wish to invest in his company and will send him five million dollars US just as soon as my check arrives from the widow of a Nigerian government official. I just have to pay a couple of documentation fees and then I split twenty million dollars US for helping her get the money out of the country. Imagine my luck! Millions of dollars and a machine that defies the laws of physics!

Actually it would work just fine as long as the 9 volt battery is capable of delivering a constant 60 amps output I do know of 8 volt batteries that can do that for up to 12 hours or so.

The 12 plus hours is with the dyno 8 volt specialty batteries
