Re: Nautical Tattoo Thread

I was taught sterile procedure as a medic in the Army, and worked for years in various hospitals etc. I know sterile and safe when I see it. The person who did my tat used new ink, fresh gloves, mask etc...I caught no diseases and ten years later I still love my tat and plan to get more. I especially love tats on woman, the more the better. (as long as they're tasteful) I love tramp stamps! Just sayin.

His victims usually don't think its funny and that's usually about the point to leave before things get out of hand. Bet you haven't seen that one!

Re: Nautical Tattoo Thread

The first Harley was built in 1903 several days later the new owner got a tattoo of a chicken hanging from a crude crossbar on his lower leg. He used to win bar bets by claiming he had a cock hanging 6" below his knee. The oldest biker tat in the world.

The Tuna does get around. I bet half the guys in Dutch have had to endure his little pool table trick at some point. It sure makes HIM laugh. Most guys are smart enough not to get too pissed about it. He's retired here in Seattle now and worse than ever. Some guys never change, he's about as salty as they come!

Re: Nautical Tattoo Thread

When has it become acceptable for some guy (in a bar, yesterday) to ask you if you have any tatoos and where are they? None and sorry, I would not like them on my man either.

I get the part about drunken sailors in whorehouses. BTDT. I did get a keepsake from a whorehouse but it went away.

I'd like a tat before we leave Miami.
Anyone know of a good place/artist here?

Re: Nautical Tattoo Thread

I'm reminded of the lyrics to an ol' Jimmy Buffet song whenever I happen to unwittenly set my gaze upon yet another unsightly tattoo...

"A Tattoo is a Permanent Reminder of a Temporary Feeling".

And few things are more annoying than having someone boasting of a new tattoo and of somehow expecting accolades to be lavished upon them.

No thanks and I do believe that I'll happily remain a "blank"... no piercings and no tattoos and yes... I do need to go sailing.
