In 1910 there was a Volcanologist on the island named Thomas Augustus Jagger (not related to Mick). He made an amphibious auto and there are photos of it in the Jagger Museum at the edge of the Crater. When I go up there the next time (its about 35 miles from here) I'll take photos of the photo and include it on this thread. JohnL |
