The area these boats work in, St. Lawrence river at Cornwall Ontario is ripe with smugglers. Illegal smokes, booze, gas, pot & immigrants. It took me awhile to find out what they were and as it turns out they're super sensitive microphones they use to detect all sorts of illegal activities at night. Shooting is one passtime the locals seem to enjoy and one of my first jobs in the Coast Guard was dragging for a 4-1/2' buoy that had been sunk by gunfire!

OH man, what a lucky guess!!!! I only guessed it as I knew that the agencies were working on or wanting a high powered mic so they can hear gun shots and trouble in the dodgy areas. I also knew that they were working on a sound wave thing to give pain and discomfort to people in groups so then can disperse..

It's cool to have guessed it, but it does suck to actually see that they have succeeded in getting it done.. So do I get a prize like a new boat!!!!!

HOLY CRAP!!! That video is crazy!!! It's not even my luxury motor yacht but when I saw it for the first time, my heart was in my throat!! I would be so much in shock and then violence would soon follow!!!

I didn't see tag lines on the bow to keep the boat from swinging. As the boat was coming down the stern hit the dock and that upset the center of gravity. The forward strap obviously was positioned in the wrong place? What were these guys thinking?

There were no stabilizing lines to keep the vessel from swinging, they had two seperate cranes being used to offload the yacht from a freighter........if you look closely, you can see that the crane with the forward sling lowers the bow, and the yacht slips forward, out of the slings entirely.(when the yacht is in the water, look at the damaged area on the starboard chine, where the strap cut into it while slipping).
I do agree that the sling should have been farther forward, but the results may have been the same, only a little later.

Also look at the port aft area near the props/shafts........looks like a big chunk of damage there too........(I don't think the commentary was by the yachts owner, he probably would not have been allowed onboard the frieghter during off loading operations)
