Knew and worked with a few of the guys at the Salcombe Station.. got to meet them after being T-boned near midships by a French boat who then did a runner.. they came out to tow me in and I ended up staying there for the next couple of years.. great bunch of lads.. and a very supportive little town.
Every time the Maroon went all VHF's in the house's went on to follow events.
I was towed in well after 2200 yet when I walked through the high street next morning to get some breakfast everyone knew who I was and asked if I was okay or needed anything.. beautiful community..
shame about the 'Grockles'.

Cannot remember his name.. tall guy with tanned (Med) complexion.. it was mainly the volunteers I hung with who worked on Egremont (RYA school) with me.. the married guys were less pub oriented..
It was back in August 2005 so if he was there then most likely..
