Re: My boat is a . . . .

I had a guy last weekend tell me that sailors are also called whistle-pissers. When I asked why he told me that they pull up to a dock ask how much the fuel costs and when told whistle and say sure is expensive glad I don't need any, by the way y'all got a bathroom.

Re: My Boat Is A . . . .

I had a Peeship (Paceship) - yellow hull and everything - and now I have a Canadian Soakcraft (Canadian Sailcraft) for all the leaks I have.

That is so true. Blow boaters can really pinch a penny...

This thread is more fun than I expected. Good stuff.

Our neighbor across the pier has observed that both power boats and sailboats tend to require the same DOLLAR amount of liquids per mile to move them. He says when he switched from sail, he just bought diesel instead of beer!

Talked to a broker/boatyard the other day and he said he had lots of motor boats and the sailboats were flying off the shelf because of gas prices...DVC

Yep, I know of at least three couples who have switched from power to sail. And I have found them to be more disdainful of power boats than any sailor would admit to.
