Marina's.com

Marina's.com An interesting site. It provides aerial photos of marinas from a good numbers of counties around the world. It also has inlets, bridges, locks, restaurants and so on. It also claims to have anchorages, but I didn't see too many of those. It even has landmarks like the London Eye. (Eyesore?) When used in conjunction with chart books, etc. it might help out with some trip planning. It doesn't allow you to zoom in and out like Google Earth, but the photos are much clearer.

The look up options include a search tool, (use advanced search) or you can use the map to zoom in. At a certain level of zoom the map will show the icons of available locations and can then click on the one you want.

There is no allowance for printing directly from the web site although by hitting print-screen, and using something like Paint to crop the image, I imagine you could achieve some smaller, low res images. Of course, they would like you to buy the photographs. About US-$15 for a downloaded image, more for other options.

I have no connection with the site, just found it interesting to use as a look-up tool

Here's some thumbnails to peak at.....

These marina sites are nice. I would like to see them offer the term "liveaboard" as a qualification in their listings.
