Living in the Computer Age

I just received the following from my ex-wife, still one of my best friends, and thought it worth sharing:
~ ~ ~

You know you are living in the Computer Age when:

1 - You accidentally enter your password on the microwave.

2 - You haven't played solitaire with real cards in years.

3 - You have a list of 15 phone numbers to reach your family of three.

4 - You email the person who works at the desk next to you.

5 - Your reason for not staying in touch with friends and family is that they don't have email addresses.

6 - You pull up in your own driveway and use your cell phone to see if anyone is home to help you carry in the groceries.

7 - Every television commercial has a website at the bottom of the screen.

8 - Leaving the house without your cell phone, which you didn't have for the first 20 or 30 (or 60) years of your life, is now a cause for panic - and you turn around to go get it.

10 - You get up in the morning and go on line before getting your coffee.

11 - You start tilting your head sideways to smile :-)

12 - You're reading this, and nodding and laughing.

13 - Even worse, you know exactly to whom you're going to forward this list.

14 - You are too busy to notice there was no #9 on this list.

15 - You actually scrolled back up to check that there was no #9 on this list.

And now you are laughing at yourself!

Go on, send this to your friends - you know you want to!

~ ~ ~

Have a great weekend, everyone.

That's a good one. We have a 3 story house. My wife calls me on her cell from the porch rather than walk up 3 flights to see me in person.

Soory, there were a couple of errors in your post. I fixed them for you

You know you are living in the Computer Age Cruising when:

1 - You accidentally enter your password on the microwave cos you've only been cruising for a short while.

2 - You haven't played solitaire for years because theres better things to do while you're cruising!

3 - You have a list of 15 phone numbers to reach your family of three. But you have no phone, and the familiy is right here enjoying themselves too!

4 - You email the person who works at the desk next to you: "Your desk is in the water floating next to my yacht... please do not scratch it."

5 - Your reason for not staying in touch with friends and family is that they come visit in person when we are in paradise.

6 - You pull up in your own driveway and use your cell phone to see if anyone is home to help you carry in the groceries: "Someone help load the Provisions and we'll set sail for TAHITTI!!!!!! adventure!

7 - Every television commercial is ignored as we don't have a TV. We have a life and a boat.

8 - Leaving the house without your cell phone, which you didn't have for the first 20 or 30 (or 60) years of your life, is now a cause for panic - but you'll get over NEVER having one again!

10 - You get up in the morning and go on line before getting your coffee. Actually you drop a line over the side and catch a fish for breakfast.

11 - You start tilting your head sideways to smile :-) cos we voyaging and yachts heel!!!!

12 - You're reading this, and nodding and laughing because we're at sea when our friends are still doin the 9 to 5 grind.

13 - Even worse, you know exactly to whom you're going to forward this list: to all the suckers working paying their house off and gettin nowhere!

14 - You are too busy to notice there was no #9 on this list because the fish are biting

15 - You actually scrolled back up to check that there was no #9 on this list. Nope, I'm pulling a beer outta the ice box....

And now you are laughing at yourself! No, I'm laughing to myself.

I would like to add:
16 - You call your wife on the cell phone when you can't find her in the same store.

17 - The first device that gets turned on in the morning is the computer, even before the coffee maker.

18 - You keep a secret list written down on pencil and paper of all your dozens of user names and passwords because you know if your computer crashes, which it eventually will, you will lose every last one of them and be totally locked out of every thing you have ever done on a computer.

19 - You would give up your radio, television and your dog long before you would give up your broadband.

There are people that turn them off?

3 PCs in the house and none are ever shut down.

I suppose I will be on the greenie's list now...
