And if your post had fewer grammar errors it would be less amusing.

Re: Liar, liar, pants on fire!

That's very kind of you, (and IMO also the truth! - grin) -- but IMO no one "beat me up." A couple of people TRIED but IMO only ended up looking pretty silly. I'm still sorry that the person for whom that story is personal history got "outed," as clearly that was not my intent, but at least it was done well.

The only reason it isn't still being attempted is that a moderator chose to close the thread. Good call, IMO.

As usual...you are very perceptive...but as most stories...there's more than meets the eye...or thread

Now...what kind of bike was it?

Dear Sir/Madame,

You still have not meet my demands for more information. To paraphrase the OP "details are everything, absolutely quintessential!"

I would advise you that your silence in the matter does not excuse you from liability. I am pretty darn well almost nearly completely certain that in the eyes of the LAW you will be held accountable for damages resultant from your hair being ablaze because you were fixing your chainplates instead of replacing the frayed cord on your curling iron.

That said, I am a benevolent soul and take pity on you due to your obvious lack of experience as a sailor. I suppose most you were all beginners once (I was born on a boat) and if you would kindly provide the address of your current location I will call Emergency Services on your behalf.

Spelling is wildly overrated. My field is in learning disabilities, and as it happens intelligence and spelling don't correlate. In other words, some smart people are terrible spellers and some dumb people have a talent for spelling.

I like what President Grant (I think) had to say:

"It's a damned poor mind that can think of only one way to spell a word!"
