Why????????????????, so you can watch your own boat sink, and endanger your own life. That sounds a wee bit drastic to me.......i2f

From yesterday's 'Lectronic Latitude, comes an interesting article that includes the following factoids:

* * *

"The megayacht cost $300 million when launched in '08. The bath knobs cost $40,000, but are custom, so don't go looking for them at Bed, Bath & Beyond.

"The master suite is 2,583 square feet, and is surrounded by bomb proof 44 millimeter glass. The company that built the glass, like a lot of the subcontractors, went bankrupt because of the novelty of the orders. The total living space is 23,600 square feet."

* * *

To read the rest of the piece, go to:

Latitude 38 - 'Lectronic Latitude

Scroll down to 'A' as in 'Ahhhhhhh'

okay, let's see. He has a missile detection system, and my boat has one as well. (It's called radar.) He has a roof in the master cabin so that he can sleep under the stars with his girlfriend, and I have two large hatches in my master cabin, so that I can sleep under the stars with his girlfriend. So far we're even, except that I spent $800,000,000 less (and get better fuel mileage.)

That second helipad though, that's a nice feature. I think he's got me there.

Bash, you devil! With all his security features, Andrey Melnichenko is probably safe from you - but I wonder if your vessel's security features will make you safe from him when he finds out about you and Aleksandra, his wife?

Uh-oh.

With all that black s**t from the funnels, the crew are going to be kept busy with the mops and buckets

Could definitely use advice & help from the Engines & Propulsion Systems section here on CF - just think how much better it would run after a tune up - and nm per gal would improove to 0.000000000000000001

Think they need an invite to Cruiser's Forum so they can get that thing ship-shape
