La Luna!

Laying on the foredeck in Puerto Lindo, Panama watching the lunar eclipse. Who else? Where?

Re: La Luna!

Got some great views from my winter home in British Columbia. Sadly, no where near my boat though.

Thats it? Of the thousands of members here, 3 saw the eclipse? What a better view than from the deck of boat!

Re: La Luna!

On Sunday night, the moon, Earth and sun lined up to create the eclipse, which was visible throughout North and South America, and parts of Europe, where skies were clear. There won't be another until 2021.
It was also the year's first super moon, when a full moon appears a little bigger and brighter thanks to its slightly closer position.

Re: La Luna!

Unfortunately, couldn't see it in Toronto (or perhaps I was looking at the point it was full dark!) but it was -18 degrees celcius here last night. That's not a misprint. You did not misread. Minus 18.

All you tropical cruisers... enjoy those southern climes extra for those of us who can't be there!

Re: La Luna!

Edmonton Alberta,
We saw portions of the eclipse. There was a bit of cloud cover, and cold enough that we didn't want to just sit outside;-)
There was some slight reddish shading but not a lot.
It was still cool to see but nothing like what they showed on the news sites.

Re: La Luna!

We were out on deck watching, not on CF! Beautiful view at 2100ish at 48.59'45N 122.45'50W. It was not visible just 5 miles inland due to cloud cover so we're lucky!

Re: La Luna!

My partner got a few decent shots using a tripod and long exposures. And no, we’re not on our boat right now.

Re: La Luna!

Front came through in the Central Bahamas but the sky mostly cleared enough to see it well, tough to stay up though, was best right after midnight.

Re: La Luna!

During the Jan. 21 total lunar eclipse, several people captured a meteoroid, circled, hitting the moon at 11:41 p.m. ET Sunday.
