Why not resist the urge to open this thread if it’s that hard on you, there is some useful info here for some people I’m sure

So sorry, but I must disagree!
It is obviously off-topic, but - in my personal opinion - very serious thread, dealing with basic needs of sailing community and should be not by any mean merged into another thread.

With my deepest regard

Well, I was using that quote, and I was saying: "Moderators? We don't need no stinkin'--" And guess who showed up out of thin air? You guessed it. Ruined my whole joke... Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water.
Ohhhhh.... Now I get it. OK - so your version was much funnier

Here's the question:[They say there are no stupid ones] in regard to social life, what's it going to be like? When I want to be alone, I know I can figure out how. When I want to find some romance/social life, what can I expect? Oh, one more thing about me-- I bathe fairly often and wear clean-ish clothes whenever possible and fully plan to brush my teeth before rowing ashore. So, what are my chances on getting lucky out there?????

Don't take the advice of going for a big boat, she might be disappointed when she inventories the rest of the "equipment". Keep her expectations low.

Re: In the VI's, how lucky do I have to be to get lucky?

When it comes right down to it: PEOPLE ARE GOOD.

Each and every one of us has proved it, right here, right now. Don't you think? There's no stopping the basic trait of laughing, feeling, questioning, enjoying, and in the end-- understanding. If you can understand... if you can get at least part way to the human part, the rest doesn't matter. In the end, we hug.

Thank you!

DoubleWhiskey - been there, done that, got a tee-shirt referencing women/wives who are half your age when you meet them. But they don't stay longer than your money can afford to keep them in the style they expect.
- - You cheated by going with a Polish woman and if I understand correctly several Greek women.
- - The OP is looking for American women in USVI. Many posters including me have opined that finding one there is a lost cause and he should look outside the USA/North America and Western Europe. I consider Poland to be in "eastern" Europe because of its history. Women there live very near the standards of a 3rd World woman so are much more amenable to providing a "traditional" relationship versus the "modern" feminist women of North America/Western Europe.

Re: In the VI's, how lucky do I have to be to get lucky?

Here's my take on it. Women are women all over the world. They like to look attractive and feel attractive- dont we all. So let them know if you think they are. Not sleezy though. Engage in conversation about "them". Its not all about us guys (sadly-hehe). So dont just talk about how big your boat is. And the biggie- humour and confidence. Oh and read "women are from venus men are from mars". Its has a lot of insight into the behaviours of both sexes. This is all basic stuff that translates to most modern cultures. But I dont think it matters if youre in BVI, NYC or London.
