If you were in my (size 14) shoes . . .

Dear forum members
Has anyone got suggestions for finding serviceable deck shoes for keel boat racing (Farr 40, First class 10). My old old old pair have perished and stick no more.
I can't find a supplier of LARGE deck shoes of the trainer style (you know; non-marking, lace up that hold the shoe firmly, etc) not the trad leather deck - which I find slips as I run around a racing deck.
Any suggestions anyone ?
I've searched the forums, but if I've missed this subject somehow, a helpful link would be most appreciated.
I'm in the UK.
Your friendly newbee,
Paul

Bass Shoes, in Freeport Maine USA will make custom shoes, at normal pricing IIRC. Did so, some years ago anyway.

Welcome to Cruisers Forum objective. Good luck finding a decent pair of boat shoes. Good to have you aboard.

Thanks very much Blue Stocking.
Lovely looking shoes, but not the type of footwear that serves well running around a bucking boat during a race. The traditional boat shoe looks fine on the dockside, but if anyone knows where to get a modern alternative, do let me know.

Thanks for the welcome Haw1961
