I need a boat graphic design

Hello All,

My boat needs a graphic design. The boat is a Searunner 37 trimaran. Right now she is a mess and is out of the water for a renovation. She will need some nice graphics before she goes back into the water.

Her name is Princess Pupulei, which means "crazy" in Hawaiian. There is a song too:

With that, does anyone know of a graphics artist that can make a design for me? I have a vinyl cutter so I can make my own decal. I just need a graphics file as I am no artist. I want a design that is simple but depicts Polynesian, crazy, and the theme of the song.

Thanks,
John B.

Hello John,

Great song !
And, are you still looking for a graphic designer for your boat?!

Well, I could do it, but you'll be happier with a local graphic artist/desktop publishing type.

You can get vinyl decals made at places that produce graphics for the sides of trucks, etc.

If you want a name or a stencil painted directly on the hull, go to someone who knows that it will be constantly wet in salt water. This is not a job for alkyd house paint.

Re: I need a boat graphic design

Go to your local sign shop that does vehicle wraps, they have all types of graphic designs and can take a pic of your boat to show you what the graphic will actually look like applied on your boat.
They can print real photos as the graphic to lay up on your boat, using many types of vinyls including highly reflective...even photos printed & cut on reflective that your cutter cannot do.
Some vinyls are made for easy removing when you wan to change or remove the graphic -- ie vehicle wraps ( and many have a 10 year warranty for the vinyls). The graphics are durable and are applied to high speed race boats, planes, race cars, etc....
Have fun with it!

I'm having the gentlemen at WallSticker dot com do our boat graphics. They have been great with the design and font process (started with over 26 options!) - my wife loves working with them too.

Paul and Ali are both avid sailors and good people.

Check them out and let them know Jeremy sent ya!
