Head Banging

Is it a feature or a defect? I maintain it's a feature.

When you bang your head on the boat-

-you get to exercise your voacabulary.
-you are instantly wide awake.
-you get to set an example for your kids.
-you get to clean up the spilled beer.
-you get an opportunity to test the security of the offending object.
-if it's electronic you get to get a NEW one!

Please excuse me if the statement below crosses the line into too crude for this forum. My Dad once told me...

It's unlikely I'll ever go bald, grey certainly, but at nearly 29 my hair is as thick and long as ever. But If I do start going bald I'm breaking out this statement daily.

At the end of last summer I cut and donated my hair to locks of love. It was past the middle of my back.

I've been shaving my head for a few years now. (see my Avatar). I got fed up paying for maintenance on something I just couldn't see any more. The fringe around the back collected dirt, rain and provided no protection at all. The even less of a fringe over the ears seemed pointless.
I still have to shave daily (when working) and adding a little area is no great deal.
Razors seem to self sharpen nowadays. And going indoors on a rainy day is a quick wipe with the palm of one hand.

Good thing about a comb-over: You can use it for tell-tales!

i did try using my nostril hair for a combover....I had it woven into the hair that comes up my back. But it was just too hard to see through it so I gave it up.

I found out later I should have had the stylist bring the hair that grows on my ears around to the back of my neck to weave in with the nose hair and back hair. That's supposed to spread it out so you can see out of it.

But by the time I heard of this, I had already started shaving my head. Was on a boat in Florida, and went there straight from my (then) home in New England. I think the top of my newly shaved lily white head must have peeled almost down to the skull bone itself. I never knew sunburns could bleed before.

but it's nice and brown now. And with a shaved head, you are one of the very first people to realize it's raining.

The soft hair on my head has been feeding the seizing wire bundle on /in my ears.

l wear a hat to intercept the stationary objects placed in front of me without my knowledge.

I would have thought a coating of Epoxy would do the trick nicely

Yeah- a cap works for me too. Janet- like your new avatar, though I don't think that is you. Main thing I miss about hair is a day like today (Bellingham) it rains all day and makes my head cold.

Being bald has probably saved my life.....I went in for a free health screening at a new medical center and took the time to see a dermatologist for free....she noticed Actinic Keratosis......I very rarely take my hat off.....That got Dad and I to the Medical Group he goes to....and we have kept ahead of the skin cancer.

I think my hair is getting more dense. Why else would gravity make it all leave my head and wind up below my neck?
