Show up on time!!! That burns my butt. Sets the whole day off wrong.
This one is easy my boat, my riules.
If I want to launch at 9:00AM I tell everyone 8:30. I also tell them I will not wait. Basically I build in a 30 minute buffer. I have never told anyone my strategy and I have rarely, other than for mechanical reasons, launched late.
So far this works. The skipper
has never waited for crew and I think we have left someone behind only once.
We had another boat in our club that was chronically late for twilight races. They actually postponed the race
a couple of times for this boat. We got together and complained vociferously and now if they are late, they are late.
