Unless you are prepared to ( a) work for $2 an hour and (b) put up with the issues that arise from erecting trade barriers., then manufacturing will always seek low cost workforces, once the infrastructure there is sufficient to support manufacturing industry.

The key is value add , low tech screwdriver work is gone offshore for good

It's like this. Al Gore wrote the book er movie on environmental stewardship so all you need do is copy him. Get a 20000 sq. Ft. House with a 5000 dollar a month electric bill being sure to pay a premium for only wind generated

Some wind generated electricity, and you can sleep well at night knowing you are just like the master. Sacrificing to save the planet.
