Yeah, I know. I'm mostly joking about the pot. I refused to go through the rape scan machine at the airport in Orlando this past November so they searched my body with plastic gloves. He didn't even give my balls a pat. He told me he only needed to test the gloves for drug residue. Makes me wonder if making pot honey would do the trick. No smoke required.

Also, Sand crab. I imagine butt-pot has a some what condom flavor to it.

There are some calls to end the "distributed storage" as well, and force all army weapons to be stored at the nearest barracks. One can already do this voluntarily, and many wives force their husbands to do so. (Have to figure out a good translation of SWMBO in Swiss German...)

Mind you they do have a very laid back attitude to rifles.

Sales between private parties now have to be filed tough. Some things are getting a bit less lax. However my father in law still has his army rifle (with bajonet!) in his cellar. Getting a bit rusty though.

Is this true? I have been only been searched by dogs twice, once in Cuba departing the country and once importing the boat to Australia. I did have Solas flares on board which have a small amount I believe. They were just stores in the ditch bag when searched in Cuba and no notice was made of them. I assume they were just looking for Cubans and not weapons leaving the country.

Just curious about this. I constantly find it interesting that those most experienced with weapons seem to be the least likely to take them cruising. Too bad the general population does not have the same attitude so more accidents didn't happen.

Yes it is true and they have good noses. They are trained for nitrocellulose. They also have fancy machines that can detect traces. I stored my work suitcase in the same closet as some cans of gunpowder and when they rubbed my suitcase and put the cloth in the machine at the airport they proceeded to look very closely at everything in my case.

It is a game to them. They get "attaboys" for finding it. You get very little return on your risk. You do not want to get sideways with the law in foreign countries.

If you are of the ilk that is prone to carrying guns, you absolutely do not need to worry.

You don't really need to hide them at all. Be assured, almost the rest of the entire planet is completely in-step with America's views on gun control and lethal self defence.

I recommend having them in plain sight and showing them to the customs officers you visit. They will be both impressed and appreciate your willingness to defend yourself with lethal force. After all, its just making their job easier by killing the bad guys.

The scare-mongering about getting thrown in jail is just that. Almost all other countries look up to America and its culture of gun ownership (and corresponding gun violence/death) and seeks to emulate them.

In fact, they might even ask for some tips on their use, as its well known gun owners in America are some of the best trained in the world.

Carry openly, and be an ambassador for U..S..A...!
