Noooo, ive just come home for lunch and there is a swashbuckling pirate film on the tv.The Baracuda has siezed the ship carrying the Ambasabor of Mexicos daughter en route to spain where she is betrothed to a wicked and vile tyrant, so the baracuda instructs the priest to marry them on deck.Now they are in the Tortiguas dividing up the loot

Much as I would love to marry on a virgin white sandy beach, on board a galleon would be just as romantic. Just as long as Capt Ron isnt conducting the proceedings.

I performed a marriage ceremony ( with a friend in attendance that was also a Judge) for a couple that were friends. They asked me to marry them on their boat, since I was a licenensed captain. It took place at a dock, with the wedding party on the boat, and onlookers on the dock. A great time and very fond memories.

My wife married her practice husband on a boat in the middle of a Friday Night race on the Oakland Estuary in SF Bay. the Helmsman kept on gybing to make things funny.

How wonderful, just like in the movies.Doesnt the Capitain have to check if the bride and groom are able to marry, ie, they arnt already married? Dont they need a marriage licence?

First-time poster/longtime lurker...
Had a Co-worker get married in Key West harbor on the last WWII PT boat still available for charter. Released white doves during the ceremony and I hired a local biplane pilot to do a fly-over towing a banner.

Married in 1983 by the ship's Captain on a schooner in Seattle. Unfortunately it WAS a legal marriage which cost me a lot of money 16 years later when I divorced!!
