Happy birthday to me...

Today, July 18th is my 47th birthday, on land, in my kitchen, still dreaming...

Can I make the wish that for (or before) my 50th, I shall celebrate on water!!!

See you out there.

Sylvain

Sure, it's never too late. The key is wishing isn't enough. Leave the dream for the kitchen. You need to work a plan. It's about a way that works - for you. Time limits are not required for people that have a plan to follow. Making it on your own terms just has to be a better way.

Happy Birthday to you.

I had my first sailing lesson when I was 49. Planning to take early retirement next year and be aboard my own boat, sailing in the Med this time next year!

Birthday wishes

Mark

Happy Birthday.

You are in the zone! I started my circumnavigation when I was 47 and finished it when I was 58.

Every destination starts as a thought. Now you have a destination, so you know where you are going.

For the next three years you need to live as if your dream is possible and work each day to make it happen. You must think and act your dream into existence.

Go for it. Life is too short to not live your dreams.

Thanks for the advice Dave, this is exactly what I have started to do. At every dollard spent I ask myself : do I realy need this? What am I going to do with it once I go cruising? Can I resell it before going cruising?

Well you get the idea!

Someday, I will be on this forum and I will be motivating poeple and giving them tricks!

Salut

Folks around here can use all the tricks they can get. Card tricks even! Good luck and there is always something here for you if you look in the right place. Don't discount the things you already know. Someone else here probably needs to learn it. people start from where they are and someone needs exactly what you know right now. Consider it practice.

When we started our circumnavigation, we met a Canadian sailor in Panama who was just learning to do card tricks. He studied and practiced his card tricks until he became a true professional. He even went to magician's conventions to increase his skills. He then spent eleven years on his circumnavigation finishing it at the same time we did. He earned money in various places around the world getting paid for card tricks in restaurants and bars.

Where there's a will, there's a way.
