I passed through a shoal of those but not as large... varied between about 4 to 10 feet across... this was as I was approaching St Martin from the north.. about 20 miles out...

2-3 miles off of Clearwater.
30-40ft water?
Night.
Same color light but it was a cylinder stopped at one end (where we were), the other continuing out of sight towards shore.

No ghosts but I've seen really weird things in the sky, unexplained lights in the sky moving in impossible ways, you're heard the stories enough before.

One really weird thing that happened on our old trimaran. We were lying in bed watching TV and I turned it off. It made it's normal small click sound but the picture wouldn't go away. I pressed the button several times but nothing happened. After a few seconds the picture shrank slowly on the screen until it was a point of light, brighter than you'd normally see on any TV. After a few seconds the light grew into a face. It was a brightly colored angry angry clown's face. Scary angry clown. Think a Steven King type of clown. It appeared to be yelling the foulest things imaginable, judging by it's expressions, but there was no sound. It scared the S$%T out of my wife & I. I tried again to turn the TV off but it still did nothing. After about 10 seconds the clown face shrank away and the TV picture came back on by it's self. I tuned it off again normally.
Neither my wife or I had had anything to drink for many months before, we were engaged in trying to keep our very sick baby alive and were on high alert 24/7 so no alcohol.

The baby is now 13 so that part went well enough.

Only one cure for that - burn the TV at the stake!
