That ladder is sweet!!
I sailed past Socotra years ago while in the Navy and had always wondered what it was like. Your photos make it look that much more intriguing.

It folds up to just over 4 inches thick and 19 long....but this is only 50% scale..the means the full size will be around 8 inches thick by 38inches long.
One picture shows it folded flat...it then would fold up to be vertical.

I recommend TreadMaster for the entire top of each tread. That should only add $800 or so to the overall cost... BTW, you didn't say which boat...
