Hi,

As were about to enter the Festive Season party period, I thought I'd share this sobering bit of news with you, about drinking and boat handling. Australia is a pretty laid back nation but I'm afraid our local police are pretty hot on drink driving.

A few years back when in Perth I was out in the week before Xmas to sample a few cleansing ales south of the river, I was introduced to a brilliant local Merlot. It went down a treat and I partied on.

But by the end of the night and suspecting I might be a few notches over the limit, I did decide to do the right thing. I tucked my car keys away safe in an inside pocket, and I took a ferry home.

I'm not sure where I found it. Or how I drove it. But I did get home safe and sound:-)
