I don't get the reason why a Wheelbarrow is of no use ona boat. I mean, once we get into the lubricating stuff and start telling Salty tales, I am sure a barrow would be a great asset.

This may be the case, but have you considered the possible hazards and effects of combining the barrow with the Naval Officer? PS In the version I heard there was an umbrella involved, perhaps it belonged to the Naval Officer |

Got your message but my reply was blocked by administration. Seems you've elected to not receive PMs. Email me at elieallen@yahoo.com if you wish to talk about the Bocas del toro area with me.

90% of all statistics are made up on the spot.

Actually, the number is 93%. When making up statistics, or anything else, you should avoid round numbers because they just look like an approximation. The key is to project an impression of exactitude. On the other hand, some numbers are obviously plucked out of thin air. 97% is an example of one of these. I mean come on! 97 is essentially a super-prime number, and nothing in this universe is going to actually be 97. 93, maybe, but definitely not 97.
A friend of mine calls this process of creative precision "DRE", for "Direct Rectal Extraction". Example: "Using the DRE method, we calculate that the gate-count of this integrated circuit will be around 3,700,000." It sounds better than saying ou pulled it out of your *ss. Oh yeah, a quotation: "I used to think I was indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..."

I agree with you to a point but you are actually only 96.3% right.

I stand corrected!
Definition of an optimistic sailor? "The lightning strikes are nice. They help me see the waterspouts better!" On another note: The problem with statistics? Statistically speaking, 90% of the people involved enjoy gang rape. (I apologize in advance if that offends anyone.)
