DOJ - Quoted World Cruiser Reference Man
So there I was sitting on the thinking seat doing some "thinking" while reading latest Cruisers World. When while reading an article about I don't remember what, from a author I never heard of, I see a reference in said article and it goes something like this:
as quoted in a popular cruiser internet forum, writer David Old Jersey ............
I don't remember the stated referred quote. But I'm impressed that some or all of the below are now in effect:
1 - David Old Jersey is now the MAN and is a reference for unknown magazine writers the rest of us are now required to agree with DOJ on all sailing "things"
2 - Cruisers Forum is now a real research source and reference guide for sailing magazine article writers to support their articles
3 - There is less reason to keep spending money on getting Cruisers World magazine (after all it was the same issue that explained the positions of my multimeter)
There may be more things to be learned, I'm all open to guidance of DOJ!

If you are in the market for a multihull DOJ is the MAN.
One of the highest postings and experienced multihull cruiser on the forums there is.

It must have been his beer fund that pushed him over the top!

Re: DOJ - quoted world cruiser reference man
D.O.J. is certainly the authority on round the world sailing . Who else can claim they have organised , managed and funded a Goat to sail around the world on a beer budget .
Cheers Steve

DOJ's first guidance will undoubtably be that you get a goat.

Re: DOJ - quoted world cruiser reference man
If any one has not noticed so far, DOJ spelt backwards is JOD. Now, whilst many believe in JOD, there are many sceptics out there who decry him as a mythical being of omnipotent powers, rather seeing him as an impotent all knowing oracle of debauchery and illusions. JOD knows what the truth is, and he is not saying. Myself, i am not a JOD fearing man at all, but will enjoy his missives and hope that one day he reveals himself, in whatever reincarnation he chooses for that day, and we get to decide if we are true believers or not.
JOD be with you all...... if he has his way.
Coops.

Re: DOJ - quoted world cruiser reference man
it just shows how desperate sailing magazines are these days to come up with original copy to sell regurgitated sailing topics on a monthly basis.....................
but my prediction is there will be a marked increase in sales of Cruising World this month, and a marked increase in membership of Cruisers forum.........
well done David!
can you please comment on the latest light weight fusion generators soon to be available for yachts.........

I advise you, and I have proof of a post from DOJ himself to prove it, WRAP YOUR MULTIMETER IN TIN FOIL.
