Re: DOJ - quoted world cruiser reference man
There's nothing new in either writers grasping whatever sources they can find to support (or fill!) their articles...or in readers needing to check sources when evaluating articles.
We empathise with both the OP's concerns and DOJ's response..." It's the internet...what do you expect?!?" DOJ might also add that there should be no prima facie reason his views are any less (or more) valuable than anyone else's.
We also had the amusing experience once of a broker quoting our own posts to us as independent and authoritative evidence supporting the quality of their vessels!
So we're sure future writers will feel very free to quote DOJ and others, from CF and anywhere else too...and we encourage future readers to take care to weigh the sources, as well as the arguments, in evaluating such writings!

Re: DOJ - quoted world cruiser reference man
Ok, I've had three tutorials and a PM, and I still can't post a picture! But by God, I'm tired, It's past my bed time, so I'm gonna post this joke even if it falls flat, cause the goat is sooo cute! When my hubby is home from the sea with our beloved Rain Dog, I'll get him to walk me through it.
When asked about DOJ being quoted in Cruisers Forum about being quoted in Cruising World, a DOJ representative had this to say....

When you hit Post Reply you will see a box titled "Reply to Thread" which you type your post in. If you just scroll down a little you will see another box titled "Additional Options". Within this box is a tab for "Manage Attachments". If you click that it will allow you to attach all your pics direct from your hard drive with no URLs or anything like that. That's how I usually do it.
Shouldn't the goat pic tag line be "Feels Good Ma-a-a-a-an?

I forgot to ask if you are using safari browser or the cruisers forum app. The cruisers app does 80% of what I need. Advanced stuff I gotta use the pc.
Might wanna try the cruisers app on app store if you haven't already...

Quite right but you left out the last bit.
Then you click on Browse and scroll to the pic that you want. Click on Upload and the pic should appear on the left margin below the boxes as a gif/jpg reference. Close that screen and go back to the box where you were typing. Above it click on the paper clip and the pic you saved should drop down. Click on that and it will be saved to wherever your cursor sits in the box. Click on Submit Reply.

The presumption is that what was written was positive.......
....unfortunately I am not a subscriber to Cruisers World - so can only guess they had a special feature on Armchairs .
Anyway, thanks for the thread. I think - even if almost like reading my own Obituary (I would imagine ).

Yes it is because you're on an iPad, or so it seems to me. Uploading images can only be done the PC. There've been a few occasions when I've wanted to post a pic but no way would I waste time firing up the PC just for that.
Life for us iPadders would be much simpler if CF provided the facility to copy and paste a pic in a post, or via some other path.
PS: With apologies to DOJ for changing the subject from DOJ...
