Re: Do You Remember Your First Bucket?

who took me from my warm warm cot
and put me on this cold cold pot (in those days it was a bucket)
and asked me to do what I could not - -
Grandma!

I was too you ng to remember much but I do remeber summer mornings at the lake. Grandma recited this and as I grew older, many others, more colorful.

They do exist and are definitely worth hanging onto when found.

They are easy to hang on to - that's why they have a handle

Our books have gotten 5 star reviews on Amazon. Several readers have written "I never thought I would go on a circumnavigation, but when I read these books, I was right there in the cockpit with Vinni and Carsten"

If you paint a face onto an upturned bucket - and put it onto a boat hook you will have a freind for life.

Re: Do You Remember Your First Bucket?

If there is "cupboard love" defined as love given purely for the reward, then what is the definition of "bucket love"?
Will I be able to sleep waiting for the answers? Too bloody right I will.

Obviously 'bucket love' = 'unconditional love'

Re: Do You Remember Your First Bucket?

Slept well. How about, "Bucket Love" a relationship valued by what you put into it. Sorry for that, woke up in a feminine mood obviously.

It was a hot summer day that August. My body slippery and glistening from persperation as i'd just finished my task of pulling anchor. I was young. A young woman perched up near the starbord bow, legs dangling over the gunnel and between them a station.
The evening breeze was gentle and I sat and enjoyed the steady rhythmic rolling and pounding as the bow broke wave upon wave. Still, with the breeze kissing my skin, I felt no relief from the heat.
Then I spotted him. There, left amidships on the bullwork and tied securely to the topsides hand holds. Tan and I guess about 5 gallons in size. He was mine to have. A helpless slave to me, no hope of escape. I would use him to my liking!
I rose up, hot and almost breathless to lay claim upon him. With a devious smirk I grabbed at him, embraced him momentarily in my right arm as my left hand had hold of the starbord shroud. Then very unceremoniously, I threw him over the side.
Just as swiftly I began to retrieve him. Hand over hand, pulling upon his wet and slppery line until I once again had my arm around him, pressed against my belly and groin.
Then I sat on the cabin top and lowered him slowly between my legs. I bent over him, and with both hands lifted him above my head and poured his contents upon my scorching flesh.
I was soaking wet and in total ecstasy. I unleashed him from his bindings. Closed him up in the cockpit lazzeret.
Then I layed upon the fore deck. Exhausted and cooled as the warm breeze and sun carressed and dried my skin.
I was starting to think that this was a silly and pointless thread. I was ready to click it byebye when I got to your post. I think I will read your post again, tonight, when I am alone, and savor each word in turn.

Re: Do You Remember Your First Bucket?

I saw this bucket on the way to work today.

By itself on the side of the road. Alone and abandoned I guess.

Was there when I was on my way home too.

I did not stop and pick it up.

Looked like a floozie to me.
