Ah, I just love the cold dark winters of Central New York; it gives me so much time to take the boat on the hard and spend many hours working on her rather than sailing her. What more can one want?

Brrrr heh .., GreatKetch

Re: Disappointed in You All

I didn't like living in New England, so I moved south.

Stop whining.

Here, one night in February, 2006, the temperature got down to 63 deg. F. for a few hours! We were amazed. Even had to wrap up in a light windbreaker to stroll the beach.

I don't recall ever doing that during a February night on Cape Cod.

That's right. Kick when when I'm out of town and not here to defend myself.

I've decided to wait another couple of months for global warming to raise the sea level to float me off so I don't have to pay to truck the boat back to the yard. Meanwhile I've got my Rocna anchor in place to keep from drifting away when the water rises and my assault rifle to defend the boat from the rioting mobs and a big stash of dried algae that I can eat while waiting for the end of civilization as we know it.

Wouldn't dried krill be better? I hear it is the new best thing for good heart health.

Re: Disappointed in You All

Getting ready for a two week cruise in two weeks. Sailing in the Fall just started here. WE are good til early / mid November when ti gets too cold to Anchor out. We get "August" and it's too hot with no wind to sail much. It's the penalty here for good spring and fall sailing. I suppose August would be perfect in the NE. We'll only be 3 days from home so if the weather looks tropical stormish we can be home in time.

You sail when you can and make plans when you can't.

Well since I'm almost four years into my latest boat and haven't been in the water for three I need to do something for entertainment.
