Officials reportedly estimate the final death toll to be between 5,000 and 10,000 as a result of Cyclone Sidr (Category 4), which struck the South Asian country last week.

estimated the number of deaths to be between 5,000 and 10,000, while the Red Crescent Society reported on November 18 that the number of deaths could be up to 10,000.
As of November 19, international groups have pledged US$25 million to repair the damage.
