Matt, let me tell ya, mate, that ain't nothing! One can never confidently predict what Ann will say, let alone think of. Kinda scary at times, sometimes amusing. I think maybe it comes from all the time she spent counseling druggies, for they too were kinda unpredictable. I dunno...

Hang on. Don't blame the druggies. She has spent much more time hanging around boaties and we all know how strange they get.

Re: Croc Infestation

There was an update in the local paper this morning and apparently there have been a lot more sightings during the past year and one or two captures. I am away from here for the winter months and consequently miss out on a lot of stuff.

Todays article says that officers from national parks and wildlife are going to have a look so I guess we will all be safe in our beds again and the cows can go back out into the fields, eat grass and make us milk again. Thank god for the gummint.

Re: Croc Infestation

Up in the Daintree farmers are compensated by the government for cattle taken by crocs. So us taxpayers are buying crocs dinner.

Ah well, the crocs are probably more deserving than some of the creatures the taxpayers are buying meals for???

Re: Croc Infestation

This threads a bit aged but here goes anyway.

We just had a cyclone in Queensland and one of the news papers had a photo of a large bull shark stranded in shallow water on a city street. If it wasn't bad enough when the place was just infested with crocs, we now have to worry about sharks in the sidewalk drains as well.

What's next, blue ringed octopuses in the finger bowls?

Don't exaggerate. It's 13 feet.

We may be luddites but at least we can do math.
