Of course the Austrian in story does not help their country's plea for saneness either.
These people are not crazy. They're pointing out ludicrous elements of society.

Well, at least the Pastafarians are conciously being satirical...the other loonies actually believe their rubbish.

Had a looney prepper tell me recently that the cold I have is not due to it being a normal communicable disease, but because the gov't sprays pathogens and mind-control chemicals into the atmosphere...and he was dead serious...and American.

You do understand that the Pastafarian religion is political satire and not a serious religion?

All of my British friends think of America as being a 12 year old nation of rampaging capitalists.

Did he also tell you about the secret 200 mpg carburetor that has been suppressed by the government and the big oil company conspiracy?

The problem is that 400 yr ago the rest of the world decided to house them all here. That concentrated them in a single area and gave them a lot of other groups to argue with which helped them retain social cohesion, thus surviving for a lot longer than they would have otherwise.

Unfortunately in the relatively recent past we have started running out of places for them to move on to that aren't already occupied by another group of religious dissenters, or as they refer to each other 'those blasphemous apostates'. Consequently things like this or http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/...tml#post742876 happen.

What's your point?
I could say what the Brits say about their own country. Doesn't matter. British national past time is taking the piss out of anyone and everyone. They are not prejudiced toward any single race or nation.

"Hannah Gastonguay said her family was fed up with government control in the U.S. As Christians they don't believe in "abortion, homosexuality, in the state-controlled church," she said.
U.S. "churches aren't their own," Gastonguay said, suggesting that government regulation interfered with religious independence".

Yes...right...and it was ok to accept airfare from the US gubberment to ship their @ss's back to the oppressive US!
...Jesus...save me from your followers.

But the airfare they received was payback for the taxes the gubberment took from them and used for immoral purposes.

We fail to condemn nut jobs in the name of freedom. They are proliferating like crazy. Witness whole states that bother to ban sharia law, the likelihood of which is less than being hit by a meteor. Tolerance has its downside.

Re: Couple Flees America, Gets Tax Payer Rides Home

Australia used to be a British penal country. All the unwanted, criminals and derelicts were sent there. France used to have "ile du diable" Devil's island off French Guyana's coast; a penal colony. The French government is now thinking of developing it with high tech industries. (...Hey honey, start packing...we're moving...got a high tech job...at Devil's island industrial complex...making license plates...)
