I saw it when I was visiting in Sep. Doesn't look too bad up close, but then again, I didn't look for too long either.

iTunes - rent or buy. Jobs will have the world's content locked up soon - get used to it...

Great responses! Thanks! Obviously, there's a lot of Hollywood magic going on. One that struck me was how good the sails looked considering the condition of the boat. Wouldn't you think they'd be dry rotted?

Zeehag, knowing you have a Formosa, I think of you and your boat every time I watch it. It looks like a really great boat.

The real-est thing was a complete retrofit underway using basically a sander in under 2 days with no spare parts.

Or maybe that was a little Hollywood magic.

But if it was Hollywood magic why not sprinkle a little fairy dust on that crap motor?

Oh, wait. I think they call it suspension of disbelief...

We have 60,000 sea miles between us, and almost everything in the movie has happened to us including the runaway sander... still waiting for the Gorillas

We have even parked the boat in the same dock in St Hogg which happens to be the heads in Puerto Del Rey Marina, Fajardo.

"Don't worry, they'll get outta our way."

My all-time favorite flick. Grossly underrated by the critics.

It is all TRUE FACT... well it was a movie but if you want to see the same boat handling exhibited just go to Trellis Bay on the Full Moon night and watch the Moorings Fleet Captains charge into the mooring field full speed know no mooring are available and dropping anchor in between moored boats and slamming into a couple as they set the anchor or think they have prior to them jumping into a dink and racing off to the party sometime forgetting to turn the darn engine off.

Not to worry.... it isn't their boat.... is it your?
