Cabo San Lucas?

Gudday! My wife and I will be visiting Cabo next week (flying sadly, not sailing) and was looking for some local information. Things to do, must sees, etc. We are not very touristy but we like historical and cultural stuff. Any thoughts or feedback would be appreciated. If anyone is living down there, maybe we can meet up for lunch or a beer.

Our timing has always been excellent! This reminds me of a time we went on vacation and found half of it gone due to a hurricane. Ah the joys of travel.

Well, let's hope you at least got off-season prices for booking during hurricane season.

Re: Cabo San Lucas?

San Jose Del Cabo is much less touristy and we like it very much.

San Jose Del Cabo keeps coming up as we do our research so thanks for the tip. Seems like we will definitely be spending some time there.

Re: Cabo San Lucas?

A drive north to Todos Santos is also a good way to get out of Cabo, which you will want to do. The road to TS was being worked on last winter, but should be about done by now, and the road from TS east to la Paz is great, allow about 75 minutes from Todos Santos to La Paz.
If you have time, the loop going from Cabo north to Todos Santos, then east to the Los Barriles turn off, then south to San Jose del Cabo and on to Cabo is a nice way to spend a couple of days.
There are a couple of nice, real, marinas in La Paz, and a nice Disneyland marina in San Jose del Cabo.
The marina in Cabo san Lucas is a hot, airless, noisy and expensive hole (IMHO) and a place to get out of as quickly as possible.
Interesting to see what Paul does to the new bridges?!
