Boat Things to Investigate for Something to Do

I'm getting stir crazy from the winter and need something boat related to do. But it isn't even possible to get to the boat so need something a little off the wall to look into.

So to start I think I'll get a gun and shoot a couple of anchors to see which is strongest. Wonder if the caliber will impact the results?

Then I'm going to collect a couple differnt types of batteries and throw them them around some to see which last longer.

May be worth while to get some fish and paint with different anti-foul coatings and see how the fish hold up to them. On second thought probably find a more worth while subject and a fish; like anchoring idiots.

Maybe tape some money to the hull and find out for once and all just how fast a boat can burn though it.

Some of these just have to be worth a magazine article that can feed the cruising kitty. But if anyone has more ideas I'm open to them.

Usually I can come up with a smart-arse comment..... I got nuthin'...

Well... maybe... you left out which boat handles a tsunami best, monos or multis?

or

Does calling your deck scrubber the Admiral really camouflage a chauvenistic attitude that imagines they can be bought off that easily?

As I say... I got nuthin'...

Jump under the shower and see how many $100 bills you can shred before the plug hole blocks and the tray overflows....

itchy,scatchy and sticky

got tired of winding sailes up the mast so built one of these,in between lurking on cf whilst waiting for the resin to harden.
taking a mould of the mast when its 1 degree c was real fun.

1) Get that post count up a 1000 or 2 - Welcome threads, short pithy comments (of no great value to man nor beast) and arguments work well . If you are feeling lazy the Multihull section would be the best place to start

2) Make a list

Maybe a new poll (I like polls).

How about: Should there be a Bluewater Gunboat to Hunt Pirates and whether we should shoot first and left Dave Jones sort them out?

Outstanding! I've been trying to come up with a plan for an electric halyard winch. Your's is great. On the list.

The trick when waiting is not to stroke your beard nor touch anything else you don't want covered in resin - for a while.

Measure your cockpit sole and make your self a new teak grating. No power tools allowed. Neatness counts, and if a .003 feeler gauge fits in any of the joints, the Sea Gods will give you the thumbs down and no wind for the next season.
