Boat ramp etiquette

A mate asked if i would like to go fishing , So i thought why not , we headed off at 4 am to the ramp ,, no real dramas there caught a feed had a ball , then back to the ramp ,, we wait wait and wait ,, I don't really mind as we all wait our turn ,,, then the guy in front of us with a F250 4x4 and a "BAR CRUSHER" power cat , takes no kidding 10 minuets to get the trailer into position then another ten to get the boat on and then gets to the wash down ,,, we load up the 7 meter fishing runabout in 3 minutes and get to the wash down ,( Only one hose outlet ) and a sign ,
"All VESSELS MUST BE WASHED DOWN BEFORE LEAVING THE RAMP AREA "
so we wait ,,, then he gets the 12 volt Buffer out ,,,

FFS I lost my **** ,,,,,,,

then the police turned up ,,,,,

Lucky for me the cops use the ramp and have met this fool and made him leave to a rally of clapping from the 12 boats waiting in line ,,,,,,,

So the point ,,
What would you have done ,,

#1 drove off ?
#2 asked him to move (many did ) he just laughed,
#3 Smack the tosser in the mouth ? (there were a few getting ready )
#4 Wait
#5 or like some one did call the cops ?

Its getting harder to use the ramps in Oz ,, it was never this hard back in the 70`s ,,,,,,,

Re: Boat ramp etiquette

Sounds like calling the constable should do the trick, before someone gets hurt.
