Best East Coast Location to Sell a Sailboat

Please settle this arguement, where is the best place to sell a sailboat on the East Coast, North, Central or South (includes Florida). Thankx.

I'm assuming you mean for maximum dollars? Since the basic law of economics is supply and demand, I would bet you would get the best price where the fewest boats would be, with a still high demand. My guess would be out in the Carribean Islands. St. Barths comes to mind where you have a nice big marina, and loads of people with money to burn.

I think it depends alot on the type of sailboat and the quality...So, I don't think there's one best place.

In general, there are good markets in Florida, Annapolis, Newport, New York Metro.

The vessels draft will be a big consideration in some areas, the mast height, Blue Water vs Coastal Cruising, vs daysailor...lots of variables imho.

I'd say Florida. You can sail 12 months a year down here. Can't do that in the North, can you?
