Behold the Power of the Internet

We bought our W32 over a year ago and started a blog about it. In the "About The Boat" section I documented all I had been told about the boat when I bought it and also all I could find online about it. I scoured the Internet for scraps of information about the previous owners.

I was told by the brokers that the PO had circumnavigated 3 times and the boat has the equipment to look like it. I also found a letter on Scanmar's website written as a review to a Monitor windvane from the PO and posted that on our site as well. I searched and found a few things online about him but never found a way to contact them.

Today, a year after our blog was started I got an email about a comment on the "About the Boat" section. It was the PO that had found us.

I just kinda sat there staring at the screen and wondered at the power of technology.

I can't wait to find out firsthand what our boat has been through and about the POs.

Re: Behold the power of the Internet

Well the PO and I have started a good dialog via email and we're going to chat on the phone soon. I've confirmed what the brokers told me about the boat with him and he has graciously sent me over an outline of the places they stopped on their 3 circumnavigations along with details of the time the boat rolled. Amazing story so far. I'm really looking forward to speaking to them on the phone.
