Apt for rent in Annapolis

Hi Folks!

We're going to haul our boat in Annapolis for blistering problems (Osmosis) and we are looking for renting an apartment from Jul to end og Aug.

All we saw on web are around 1400 USD/Month.. it is quite expensive for us.

Somebody is able to give us a better solution or a link?

We'd like to stay not far from marina's area, in order to avoid to rent also a car...

Thank you.

You're going to have a rough time. If you're hauling at Port A or Jabins the apartments at Annapolis Landing are likely least expensive but the price you have seen is about it. If you haul at Eastport Yacht Center you'll pay more unless you can find subsidized housing (and qualify) which is a long walk.

Have you looked for "Rooms to Rent"? You may find lower costs.

You might shop around Galesville and haul at either Hartge Yacht Yard or Hartge Yacht Harbor (two different businesses). The downside is the distance to groceries.

Annapolis the rent is crazy high, the highest on the bay. Most landlords also want security deposits. My son lives there and like many shares an apt there. Check craigslist. I know you have a deep draft boat and the harbor went into the decision. I would look hard at Solomon Island, MD, top quality yard, good depth harbor, everything is close and it's a cheaper area to live. Getting a boat dried out for a blister job in a month, can be challenge.

I agree with puffcard. Consider Solomons, Galesville, Rock Hall, Deltaville (groceries really hard without a car), and Cape Charles.

Why not try a different marina? Try Flag Harbor in Southern Maryland. They have done many blister repairs and rentals will be a lot cheaper.

Re: Apt for rent in Annapolis

Thanks to everybody, The reason we plan go to Annapolis is because there is OSMOTECH If we will reach the final agreement, we will do the job with them that have a different approaching to the problem that seems much better than the original way used to solve osmosis and, it will take less time (but more money...).
Osmotech is near Eastport Yacht Center, so, we will try to find a little flat not far from or, easy to reach with public transportation.
